Epilogue - Preparations and Gear
Getting ready for the GDR: installing a new fuel filter. Also have done:
- Changed engine oil and installed new oil filter
- New fuel filter
- New clutch cable
- Lubed throttle
- New tires (TKC80 knobbies) for riding dirt and gravel & new inner tubes
- New rear brake pads (front pads ok)
- Check and clean brake lights
- Check coolant (ok)
- Insulated Jacket Blue & Orange
- Rain Jacket Brown/Black (ruined the yellow rainjacket with cleaning chemicals)
- running shoes
- 2 pair medium thin nylon socks Light brown
- 1 pair medium socks
- Brown sleeping hat
- cotton homemade shorts gray (used for sleeping)
- nylon shorts blue (never worn)
- Black lycra shorts (worn for riding every day)
- Royal Blue thermax long pants (not worn)
- Khaki street pants (worn in town when not riding)
- Dark blue nylon shell pants (worn in camp for bug protection. Not worn that much.)
- Light blue nylon shell jacket (worn when making camp for bug protection)
- Cotton bandanna, used for cleaning glasses and helmet shield
- Buff (never worn)
- Red long sleeve nylon shirt (worn on cold mornings)
- Navy blue short sleeve nylon shirt (worn all the time when riding)
- Brown cotton short sleeve t-shirt (worn on cold nights and in town when not riding)
